Hello all, it’s been a minute or two since I last added some content but we are back and doing great during this crazy time. So I have been getting a lot of folks contacting wanting to start keto lifestyle and wondering what they should purchase to start out with. Starting off right
Step 1 – Clean out kitchen, the refrigerator, freezer & pantry. Get a larger plastic bag or some small grocery bags and you are going to bless someone. Everything that is junk, bag it… Pop Tarts, cookies, pasta, sugar, cake mix, pancake mix, ramen soups, sodas with sugar, syrups with sugar, Can Goods: soups, corn, green beans, beans, refried beans, fruits, etc. just bag it all up and take it to some in need, bless someone with it.
Now I know your thinking, “why get rid of can veggies”? First we want to start fresh so all fresh veggies & frozen is fine to but we want to get you cooking so you can really see what your taking in. When it comes to vegetables, the keto rule of thumb is to avoid any veggies that grow beneath the ground. Avoid vegetables with a high starch content, as they contain the most carbs.
